Jennifer Ellison praises Edinburgh Hotel during staycation in the capital

The Brookside Legend took to social media to sing her praises for the Edinburgh hotel, rated four stars on TripAdvisor.

Soap star, Jennifer Ellison, visited Edinburgh for a mini staycation and branded the hotel as going 'above and beyond' for her.

The Dalmahoy Hotel and Country Club hosted the Brookside legend and provided her with a welcome package full of snacks and drinks for her to enjoy during the stay.

Posting the package on her Instagram story, Jennifer was overjoyed with the service that she was provided with.

Writing on her Instagram, the star said: "What amazing service?? @dalmahoyhotel from the second we checked in your staff have just gone above and beyond! Thank you so much x"

The hotel is located in Kirknewton in the capital, with the venue hosting the TV icon for a couple nights stay.

Pictured on her Instagram story, the package included a mix of snacks and drinks alongside a postcard image of the hotel.

The likes of Irn Bru, Apple and Mango J2O's, Pepsi Max, Mini Cheddars and Harvest Snaps were included within the welcome box.

Since sharing her appreciation for the hotel on social media , Jennifer has continued to share moments of her trip alongside her family in Scotland.

Photos were posted today of the star visiting Portobello beach following her stay at the hotel.

Jennifer Ellison is an English actor, known for her roles in Brookside, The Verdict and the UK adaption of Dance Mums.

Set to take part in the Official Take That musical, Jennifer paid a visit to Edinburgh before her six day stint performing as Rachel within the production.
